Day 18 (3/9)
Day 18 (3/9)
Scripture Reading: John 4:13-15
Written by John Anderson
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
Who am I Jesus to? We are struck with Jesus going through Samaria on a tiring journey, coming to this Samaritan town, needing water from Jacob’s well from long ago…and coming upon this woman who needed His “living water”…the water of eternal life. Fast forward to today, the day in which I am living. This same Christ is alive today, in the flesh in which I live for yet a little while (a reality check in my 90’s). Scripture tells me that as His disciple and filled with the Holy Spirit, that “I am in Christ and He is in me”. In my daily walk, relating to people that are in my path, who is it that this Jesus living in me wants to reach out to…to share this “living water”?
Romans 12:1 – Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. I must be that living sacrifice that I might share living water.
Who can I be Jesus to?
